This is a demonstration page for the Suffolk-Nansemond Historical Society Online Collections Interface.

This software is comprable to PastPerfect5 with several notable differences -

1. The software itself is under an open-source license.

2. Vocabularies are both optional and customizable.

3. All fields for all entries are optional and customizable.

4. Some features provided in add-ons with PastPerfect5 are built in to Omeka (i.e. Multimedia, Networking)

5. Additional features are also available with Omeka that are not available in PastPerfect5 (i.e. Mapping)

6. Integration and accessibility are far improved.

All content accessible via this interface should be physically backed up to a local drive.
